Santa Claus Came To Town

As I have blogged in the past, our new neighbourhood is a very large one. So large in fact, that Santa himself comes to visit the children in the subdivision at their homes each year! We were fortunate enough, that Santa stopped in to check up on us too.

Now, the kids has just visited with Santa during our brunch at the golf course...and Santa remembered that! He also remembered that we used to live in Boston and that Rebekah left his reindeer some special reindeer food that they loved, last Christmas. Santa was on top of things!

Here is Santa when he first came into our house. He knocked on the door one night just before bedtime. He asked the children to show him our Christmas tree.


Here the kids pose for a photo with Santa. They are both a bit nervous at this point....I think they realized that Santa was checking up on them!

Kevin and I got a big laugh about something that Rebekah said during Santa's visit. We actually got it on video too...but the file was too big to upload here.

Santa was talking about how he knew that the kids were having a few problems keeping their mouths in check. Sassiness is a bit of an ongoing problem in our house. The kids both like to debate and will happily challenge the things that Kevin and I tell them. Santa seemed well aware of this! When he asked the children about this problem, Bekah very quickly spoke up to tell him that "Noah has been worse than me!". Talk about throwing your brother under the bus!! It was priceless!

I'll tell you, the visit had quite an impact on the kids! Noah became quite convinced that Santa only visited the kids who were having trouble following the rules, in order to get them back on track. He took it as a wake-up call....and we were happy to go along with that theory! :)
