We had a surprise waiting for us when we moved into our new house. It started as the sound of cows mooing in the distance. Then, before we knew it, the cows were right next to our driveway! It turns out that the empty field that runs along side our driveway is in fact not really an empty field. It is the corner of a cow pasture. We have a ravine that runs along behind our property, and I wouldn't have thought that cows would climb through a ravine...but now I can tell you, they will.
Every few days the cows decide to come to our little corner of their field for a visit. The kids get a big kick out of it.....me, not so much. They happen to bring a lot of flies with them too.....
In this photo, you can see the cows right up against the fence by our driveway. Yes, that is our minivan in the foreground of the photo. They get really close.

Here we have a video of the cows on one of their visits. I had another video clip that I liked better...but it is longer and blogger didn't seem to like it very much. We have had MANY problems with phone and internet service since our move, but I will save that long, sordid story for another day. So, here is the short clip of the cows.
