The Verdict is In

So, we had a painter come and paint several rooms in our new house. Almost the whole house was various shades of purple. Yup...purple.

You don't understand how much this process has been stressing me out.

First of all, there are tons of colours that I love....on the palette. I know however, that that doesn't necessarily mean that I am going to love them on my walls. I want the colours to flow from one room to the next, but I don't want the whole house to be the same colour. I want the colours to match with our existing furnishings, but I want to feel like I have tried something new and fresh. I knew that since we were paying a professional painter (lack of time to do it ourselves), I couldn't just decide that I didn't like it after it was done.

I am relieved to tell you...I am really happy with the choices. The painter even commented on the great colour choices...maybe he was just being polite, but it made me feel better anyhow!

A little bit of irony...Rebekah's room was one of the few in the house that wasn't purple to begin with. Guess what colour we painted it? Yup....a pretty shade of lavender.
